Sunday Night Yung Citizen lit up the stage at The Neighborhood Theater in Charlotte. The energy, overwhelming contagious.
If there had been a door to purpose on the floor, YC walked through it; as if he came face to face with the very seed that had been planted in him since birth. The vibration of his sound in conjunction with the energy that flowed between him and Sir Charles was an inner body experience to the viewer. Tangible. I left there inspired, and hopeful for my generation and the generations to come - real art, devoid of media influence and cultivated by the heart - that is the place art is formed in which enriches the soul; that is what Yung Citizen brings to the table.
As I walked away from the pit, let’s just say the smile on my face lasted all week and I didn’t take off my Formula T-Shirt for three whole days.
